                         OBITUARY
Pierson
—Minnie E. Pierson was born July 11, 1867, died Dec. 27, 1932[sic], at her home, 502 Utah street, where she has resided the past 5 years. The deceased has been in poor health for the past 6 months, the last 11 weeks being confined to her bed. She was a patient sufferer, always considering those who cared for her more than herself. Mrs. Pierson was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Chaffee. She was married to W. V. Pierson Sept. 17, 1888. To this union 7 children were born: 3 sons, 4 daughters. One son died in infancy. Those surviving: Boyd, of Highland; C. W., of Halls, Mo.; Mrs. Eliza Mussleman, Reserve; Mrs. Oscar Mueller, Robinson; Mrs. N. W. Benson, Nashville, Tenn. The deceased is also survived by her mother, Mrs. C. W. Chaffee, of Hiawatha; 3 sisters, 2 brothers, 17 grand children. Mrs. Pierson was a very devout christian woman, having united with the church of God in 1889. She was a faithful wife, loving mother. She possessed a kindly disposition, was always ready to help in time of sickness or need. She will be greatly missed by her many relatives, friends, neighbors. Funeral services were held from the Hargis funeral home Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. Y. S. Beans officiating. Bodybearers were 6 nephews of the departed: Leonard Sherrer, Hamlin; Delbert Pfeiffer, Hamlin; Eugene, Richard Pierson, White Cloud; Omer Benson, Willis; Sterling Benson, Lancaster. Burial was in Mt. Hope cemetery.
