Clyde Marvin ChaffeeElkland Cemetery, Elkland Township, Tuscola County, Michigan Funeral services were scheduled Tuesday, Dec. 31, for Clyde M. Chaffee, 86, who died Saturday at St. Luke's Hospital in Saginaw following a brief illness. He was born Jan. 1, 1888, in Elmwood Township, son of the late Frank and Elvira Burgess Chaffee. He married Margaret Dudenhofer, Jan. 2, 1911, inGagetown. Mrs. Chaffee died Oct. 23, 1973. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of CassCity and a Sunday School teacher for many years. He is survived by three sons, Louis of Caro, Dale ofKalamazoo and Rev. George Chaffee of Jackson; six daughters, Mrs, Edward. (Edith) Wightman of Saginaw, Mrs. Bradley (Alice) Wightman and Mrs. Dale (Frances) McCoon, both of Caro, Mrs. William (Violet) Wengert of San Jose, Calif., Mrs. Carl (Arlene) Stilson of Mayville and Mrs. Gerald (Shirley) Lenhart of Flushing; one brother, Frank of Pontiac; 30 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.Three sons, one brother and one sister preceded him in -death. Funeral services were conductedfrom Little's Funeral Home with Rev. Milton Gelatt, pastor of the Holbrook Baptist Church, officiating.Interment was in Elkland cemetery.
