"Patricia Waldron Chaffee, 78, of Ventura passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 11, 2004. The most giving person, loving wife, mother and grandmother, Patsy touched the lives of all who knew her. Patsy was born March 12, 1926, to Beulah and Eugene Waldron. She grew up in Ventura, graduating from Ventura High School in 1944. Until her last day, she was still holding reunions for her wonderful friends. She will be missed by her bridge group and her many friends at St. Buenaventure High School, where she was an icon at the pull tab bingo table since 1986. Pat will be remembered the most for her sewing creations. Everyone who knew her had a Patsy Chaffee original. Pat is survived by her husband of 57 years, Grant Chaffee Jr. of Ventura; son, Scott Chaffee of Ventura; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Mike Ferro of Oak View; sister, Joanne Peters of Rohnert Park; brother, Mike Waldron of Ventura; stepmother, Joyce Waldron of Ventura; grandchildren, Shannon Reza and husband, Ron, Dr. Jodi Ferro, Jeremy, Lindsay and Brittney Ferro; as well as several nieces and nephews. Mom loved her family and adored her grandchildren. She taught us respect, how to love and forgive. We will miss her tremendously, but she will always be in our hearts. A service will be held at 2 pm, Tuesday, April 20, at Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Rd., Ventura. Burial will follow at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, Ventura. Arrangements are under direction of the Ted Mayr Funeral Home, Ventura."
