Actress. She was best known for the numerous character roles in radio, film, and television she had during a career that spanned from the 1950s to the 1990s. She started doing commercials on the radio at the age of 5. Two years later, in 1945, she joined the cast of the radio series "One Man's Family." She went on to perform on various other radio shows, including "The Baby Snooks Show," "Our Miss Brooks," and "The Phil Harris-Alice Faye Show." By the end of the 1940s, she also performed in several theatrical productions in Los Angeles, California. In 1950, she made her film debut in "The Gunfighter." Her later film credits included such titles as "White Christmas," "Juvenile Jungle," "Tick, Tick, Tick," "The Prodigal," and "Cookie's Fortune." A year later, in 1951, she made her television debut on the television series "The Bigelow Theatre." She went on to appear in numerous television series such as "One Man's Family," "Men of Annapolis," "The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis," "Rawhide," "Hawaiian Eye," "Days of Our Lives," "Perry Mason," Ironside," and "Emergency!" She left Hollywood in 1976 and went back to college. She went on to earn a degree in Mass Communications and began a new career as a water quality educator at the Washington State Department of Ecology.
