With four Olympic Games appearances under her belt in London (1948), Helsinki (1952), Rome (1960), and Tokyo (1964), she won the gold medal in the individual event at the 1953 Brussels Games and a bronze at the 1960 Rome Games in the foil team event. Her last Olympic Games was at Tokyo. Her achievements go beyond the Olympic Games, earning two titles, one individually (1953) and one with the Italian team (1957), as well as six more medals at the World Championship Games.
