Bio
My name is John Beardsley. I got hooked by the genealogy bug thanks to my mother, whose Wolcott family has always had a strong tradition of maintaining their family tree. This was not the case with my father's family, and I always wondered about it. I have spent over 25 years tracking down my paternal line and I discovered that my grandfather, g-grandfather, and gg-grandfather had all passed on relatively early in life, and their families drifted apart. This was why the families were not able to keep track of their history.
I started the Beardsley/Beardslee DNA surname project at FTDNA and the Beardsley/Beardslee One Name Study on the WikiTree in order to reconnect more of the branches that have broken off from the trunk.
