Bio
SURNAMES I descend from: Marks, Mungo, Jerome, Benton and more.
I like cemeteries because they are like outdoor museums whether for my own family history or a community's history. The grave-markers are sometimes the only image one has of an ancestor. Truly, the only way to 'preserve' a cemetery is to list the inscriptions (aka 'read a cemetery')and take photos of the grave markers.
NOTICE TO THOSE LEAVING MESSAGES: Please do not send or leave me a message if I can't do the same with you.
NOTE to photographers: Please don't add photos [of grave markers] to memorials that already have photos unless yours is outstanding - seriously - there is no need to have multiple photos if the ones already on the memorial are done well. There are so many memorials that do need photos -- try to find those and contribute in that way - it will be appreciated so much more by all.
