Bio
My motto;
"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body. But rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, a glass of Merlot in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"
Hello everyone.
I was born and raised in San Diego, CA, and lived there from 1947 to 1983. Since that time I've lived in; Arizona, Oregon, Washington (east & west), Montana and now we are in Pennsylvania.
During my travels I developed a love for old grave stones and epitaphs. I began making grave stone rubbings of famous graves in 1999. This is a very good way to see more detail on some of the very old stones, and they make a beautiful family heirloom. I highly recommend doing this.
I developed and run a huge recipe site. It's called Our Family & Friends Favorite Recipes, and a link to it is on this page. If you love to cook, come over for a visit.
I was a professional photographer, and part time photo judge for San Diego's Photo's in the Park. I use a digital most of the time now, and what I can't control with that format, I correct using Paint Shop Pro software. One of my favorite past times is creating memorial pictures for the families of the 'recently passed'. I am also a retired nurse, and artist.
After discovering Find A Grave, I'm very excited about being a volunteer photographer here in Pennsylvania.
