Geraldine Louise Brewington Metzger 04/25/1925 ~ 04/09/2012 FALLBROOK -- Long-time Fallbrook resident, Geraldine Metzger, passed away peacefully at her home in Fallbrook, California on April 9, 2012. She was born in Fredericktown, Missouri. As a child, her family moved to Libby, Montana, where she met her husband of 60 years, Fred Metzger, who was serving in the U.S. Marine Corps at Camp Pendleton, Calif. Geraldine worked many years at Harrison's Pharmacy in Fallbrook as their bookkeeper. She served as a member of the Fallbrook United Methodist Church, and was active in the Daughters of the American Revolution, as well as the Grange organization. She loved traveling and her main hobby was researching her family history. Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband, Fred B. Metzger; and son, Ronald F. Metzger. She is survived by her son, (redacted) and wife (redacted); daughters, (redacted) and (redacted); grandson, (redacted); and her beloved old dog, Charlie. Services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, April 16, at Berry-Bell & Hall Mortuary in Fallbrook. In a private burial, she will be laid to rest at Old Odd Fellows Cemetery, next to her late parents and husband. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Escondido Elizabeth Hospice, 150 W.
