ROLLING LOGS CRUSH WORKER
Alexander Bert Alberts, 33, was killed instantly at about five o'clock Thursday morning, shortly after he had gone to work when a log crushed him as he was working loading a truck at McDowell holdings above Foster.
Young Alberts with others, was working to move a log already on the truck and when it rolled off it crushed him against a log pile.
Alberts was born in Brule, Wis., May 29, 1907. He married Maxine Horton at Remer, Minn., Dec. 5, 1931. He came to Oregon with his family about two years ago and was employed by the McDowell Logging Company at the time of his death.
He is survived by the widow, Maxine, and five young sons; three brothers, Clarence, George and Theodore; three sisters, Mrs. Illa Faughder, Alice Howard and Miss Eleanor Alberts, all of Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Funeral services at the Christian Church in Sweet Home with interment following at Gilliland Cemetery. Rev. White will officiate and the rites will be in charge of Harry C. Howe Funeral Home.
