Bio

I am very interested in finding out about my ancestors. On my mothers side, her parents were Ernest and Rosa (Bone) Stewart. I know nothing at all of his family. He died in 1961 and she in 1979, both are in Sycamore Cemetary in Alabama. I believe he was from somewhere around Rome, Ga. Her family had a homeplace in the Stewartville, Al area at one time and I believe that some of the Bone family are at Newsite Cemetary.
I am also looking for my dad's side of the family, which includes Saffold and Skelton. His parents were J.C. and Lillie N. (Saffold) Skelton. His grandparents were Adolphus A. and Celia (Uptain) Skelton and Marion Saffold and Emma Viola (Jones) Saffold. I have been told that Adolphus' mother was a full blooded Cherokee named Dawn, but I'm not sure.

I live in Sylacauga, AL with my husband, three (3) cats and a dog.
