Phyllis Katherine Johnson Carlson, age 85, passed away July 21, 2012 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born December 2, 1926 in Salt Lake City to Wilford Edgar and Pauline Pfitzer . She married Wilford J. Carlson on October 6, 1951; later sealed in the Logan Utah Temple, October 6, 2005.

Phyllis was a craftsman printer who worked in the printing industry for many years. She was an avid reader. She loved doing crossword puzzles and being with family.

She is survived by: daughter, Christy and William Martin; sister, Mary Capson; grandchildren, Keith, Stephanie and Michael Martin; three great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and her best pal Tammy. Preceded in death by: husband; parents; and brothers, Lowell, Kenneth, Ray and Chet.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at the Redwood Memorial Cemetery, 6500 S. Redwood Rd. Per Phyllis' wishes, there will be no viewings held.
