Harold L. Knotts, 49, of 94 Montgomery Avenue, Waynesburg, died at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 11, 1970, in the Greene County Memorial Hospital. He had been seriously ill for the last three weeks.
He was born October 19, 1920 at Mt. Morris, a son of Ella J. Stoneking Knotts, of Waynesburg, and the late Lambert L. Knotts.
All of his life was spent in the Waynesburg area where he was affiliated with the United Methodist Church and was a member of the Waynesburg VFW and served as secretary to the Waynesburg Eagles Lodge 596.
He had served with the U. S. Army in the Pacific Theater during World War II.
Mr. Knotts followed carpentry and contracting work.
Surviving in addition to his mother is his wife, Marjorie Conaway Knotts; one daughter, Nicole Renee Knotts; two daughters by a former marriage, Caroline Sue Knotts and Krystal Lynn Knotts, both of Clarksville; on sister, Mrs. Ralph (Virginia) Thomas, of Waynesburg, and two brothers, Loyes Knotts, of Akron, Ohio and Raymond Knotts, of Ashland, Ohio.
Funeral services were held Sunday with burial in Greene County Memorial Park.
