Judson Alvin Durfee, age 84, passed away on December 11, 2008 at his home. He resided at 2797 South Hartford Street (1610 East) in East Millcreek, Utah at the time of his death.
Judd was born January 17, 1924 in Salt Lake City to Alvin Durfee and Minnie Mileta Tolman. He married Margaret May Merrill on September 28, 1946 in Salt Lake City; later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. She preceded him in death on February 19, 2005. Judd served in the Army during World War II and was a member of the Utah National Guard for 38 years as well as working at Hill Air Force Base.
Judd was survived by his children Carolyn (Ray) Kershaw; J.A. Durfee, Jr. (Jan); and Wendell K. Durfee; and siblings Conna Sthol; LaJuana Moss; Nathalia Hanson and Marcia Chisholum; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife Margaret; daughter Christy; son Craig; grandson Patrick; brothers Milo; Leon; and a sister Meleta.
Graveside Services were held on Monday, December 15, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park located at 3401 South Highland Drive (1500 East) in East Millcreek, Utah. The family received friends one hour prior to the services and also on Sunday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary.
