"Died March 12, 1936 at the age of 62 years. He was a member of the Ventura camp of Spanish American War Veterans. His comrades of the Seventh California Volunteer Infantry served as pallbearers: Richard W. Pidduck, Stanley P. Pidduck, George W. Johnson, George Cuplin, Martin Fitch and Colonel F. W. Pyle. LeValley had been involved in the trucking business in Ojai for many years. He had been ill for quite a while and staying in a veterans hospital in Sawtelle. He came home a few weeks earlier in hopes that he would recover. He left his widow, Hattie, a son and grandson and two brothers and three sisters. His ashes were interred in the family plot at the Nordhoff Cemetery."
