Dr. Ira Diller

Dr. Ira Diller, a well-known physician of York Springs, died suddenly at his home in that place on Monday night, July 12, about 10 o'clock, from heart failure. He had not been ill and his death was totally unexpected. He was aged 36 years. Dr. Diller had gone about 10 p.m. to draw pitcher of water, and after waiting about 30 minutes for him the family consisting of his mother, two brothers and a sister went to look for him and found him dead.
Doctors Cashman and Myers were summoned and said that he died of heart failure. Dr. Diller had been complaining lately of his heart troubling him, but his sudden end was a great shock to the family and his friends and his absence will be greatly mourned by all who knew him.
Dr. Diller studied at the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, the Medico Chiurgical College at Philadelphia and graduated in 1898 at the Baltimore Medical College. he practiced in York Springs about 10 years.
He was born and reared in York Springs. he was unmarried and is survived by his mother, with whom he resided, two brothers, and one sister.
