John G. "Doc" Estocin, age 82, of Turtle Creek passed away peacefully on Friday, February 16, 2024.


Beloved husband of the late Shirley Ann Estocin. Loving father of Lisa (Carmen) Disso, John (Janet) Estocin, and Brian Estocin; adored grandfather of Nikolette, Dominic, Mario, Michael, Erin, Carly, Nathan, Jeff, and Areana; , great grandfather of Angelo, Kendra, Sonny, Enzo & Carmella; brother of Margaret Ann (late, Jim) Sarsfield, Joan (Paul) Blastos, James (Nancy) Estocin, and the late Florence (late, Paul) Smith and Captain Michael John (surviving, Marie) Estocin; also survived by many nieces, nephews, brother and sister-in laws.


Preceded in death by parents, Michael and Mary Estocin.


Doc was a life long Creeker that loved his hometown and St. Colman Parish where he had been on Parish Council and volunteered coaching sports. He was a founding member of the Medal of Honor Scholarship and a former member of the National League of Families for Vietnam Vets. Doc retired from US Steel after 30 years of service and also had Estocin Interior Cleaning for many years. His proudest memories will always be when the Estocin family went to receive the Congressional Medal of Honor and also the dedication of the FFG-15 USS Estocin for his late brother, Captain Michael John Estocin.


Interment will be in All Saints Catholic Cemetery.
