Oren Root, 75, former general manager of the Metropolitan Street Railway system and president of the Hudson and Manhattan Railroad company died yesterday. He was the father of Oren Root Jr., founder of the Associated Willkie clubs, which supported Wendell Willkie for President in 1940, and a nephew of Elihu Root, late American statesman.
