Siblings: Vivian Bernice Mote Walker (1913-2008), Sarah Elizabeth Mote Strozier (1915-1982), Emily Cordell Mote (1915-1982), Clara Marie Mote Strozier (1920-2015), William Eugene Mote (1921-?), Verna Mote Konig (1923-2007), Joe Douglas Mote (1925-1988), Mary Ellen “Pug” Mote Herren (1929-2017) and Betty Ann Mote Bowen (1932-?).

He attended Shades Cahaba High School in Birmingham, Alabama.

He married Ruth Clara Lambard Mote on November 6th, 1945 in Jefferson County, Alabama. Ruth was the daughter of Irby Lambard (1890-1956) of Gainstown, Alabama and Hazel Waddell Lambard (1896-1949) of Montana.

Graveside Service will be held on November 13, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Johns-Ridout's Mortuary-Elmwood Chapel, 800 Dennison Ave Sw, Birmingham, Alabama.
