Maggie was the daughter of Henry Behrens Memmen and Gretje Siebens of Benson, Illinois. On the 1880 Census, she was listed in Benson, Illinois living with her parents. She married Henri Harri Schneider 02/20/1895 in Benson, Illinois, son of George L. Schneider and Salome Haushalter. Henri and Maggie had one son Donald, five daughters Maude, Rachel, Ruth, Esther, and Mina, and one daughter Gertrude that died during the eighth month of pregnancy when she fell when a sidewalk gave way causing a miscarriage.
