Roland E. Merrihew, 59, of South Boardman died Wednesday, April 12, 1989, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton with the Rev. Russell Stanley officiating. Burial will be in North Brinton Cemetery.
Mr. Merrihew was born Jan. 24, 1930, in Isabella County to George and Effie (Pennington) Merrihew. He married Rozena Husted.
Formerly of Mt. Pleasant, he and his wife moved to South Boardman 1 1⁄2 years ago. He formerly was a driver and welder in the petroleum industry.
Mr. Merrihew is survived by his wife, Rozena; three sons, Rick and Vicki Merrihew of Taylor, Dennis Merrihew of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Michael and Melody Merrihew of Westland; a daughter, Kelli Dawn of South Boardman; two brothers, Theron and his wife Ardis Merrihew of Farwell and Gale and his wife Betty Merrihew of Clio; three sisters, Aletha Chaffee of Weidman, Mrs. Fred (Zilpha) Small of Smiths Creek and Mrs. Russ (Audrey) Stanley of Imlay City; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Merrihew was preceded in death by his parents.
